Miller Howe is one of only a few Hotels on Windermere. It is set in five and a half acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of the English Lake District overlooking the shores of Lake Windermere.

Built as a private residence in 1916, today Miller Howe offers comfortable interiors , indulgent cuisine and simply unforgettable views.

We have been designed very much with the outdoors in mind. Thanks to our privileged location you can look out over the lake and fells whether you are sitting on our terrace, relaxing in the lounge or enjoying a candle lit dinner in the restaurant.

Our gardens stretch towards the lake, and there are many areas to sit and relax in comfort and solitude. With a full time gardening staff, the gardens offer year round interest.

The renowned weather of the lake district has helped to establish one of Cumbria's greatest hotel gardens. The are very few hotels on windermere that can boast this level of excellence.

From our breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinners, we are very passionate about the quality of food we serve. We also boast an expansive wine list both from the old and new world.
