Miller Howe is one of only a few Luxury Lake District Hotels in Windermere. It is set in five and a half acres of beautiful groundsin the heart of the English Lake District overlooking the shores of Lake Windermere.

Built as a private residence in 1916, today Miller Howe offers comfortable interiors, indulgent cuisine and simply unforgettable views.

We have been designed very much with the outdoors in mind. Thanks to our privileged location you can look out over the lake and fells whether you are sitting on our terrace, relaxing in the lounge or enjoying a candle lit dinner in the restaurant.

Our gardens stretch towards the lake, and there are many areas to sit and relax in comfort and solitude. As one of the most exceptional hotels on Windermere we are lucky to have full time gardening staff and the gardens offer year round interest.
